“Back off rich boy! I’m armed!”
DC Collectibles recently released the long-awaited Harley’s Holiday statue. Inspired by the episode of the same name from Batman: The Animated Series and revealed back in February 2017 at New York’s Toy Fair, the statue recreates the image of Harley from the episode’s title card.
Originally airing back on October 15th, 1994, the episode features Harley (freshly released from Arkham Asylum) on her way back into the real world of Gotham City, determined to be good. A series of mishaps, though, cause Harley to slip back into her old ways (and her old costume) and hijinks ensue.
DC Collectibles’ new statue features Harley, in a snappy new dress (inspired by her original harelquin costume) out on the town with her pet hyenas, Bud and Lou. Stacks of luggage in tow, and Bud and Lou twisted around her legs, Harley’s out for a day on the town in Gotham. Sculpted by Irene Matar, the statue captures Harley at her best (or at least trying to be at her best).
The DC Collectibles Batman: The Animated Series Harley’s Holiday statue retails for $274.99 and is available right now for purchase at Shop DC Entertainment or at Entertainment Earth. But…is she worth it? Should you head to your local comic shop right now and demand they order you one right now? The only way to truly know for sure is to check out the latest episode of the Red chair show.
