This isn’t flying.  It’s falling…with style!

Buzz Lightyear was among just a few of Disney’s enormous stable of characters that were unleashed onto our unsuspecting world, with the debut of Toybox.  A new line of action figures available at the Disney Store, the initial assortment featured characters from some of Disney’s biggest properties:  Woody and Jessie from Toy Story debuting alongside Buzz; Rey, Kylo Ren and First Order Stormtrooper from the Star Wars universe and representing the Marvel U were Thor, Hulk and Iron Man.

Inspired by the stylized toys from the now defunct Disney Infinity video game, the Toybox figures measure 4 inches in height and feature 14 points of articulation, compared to their non-articulated, 2 inch tall predecessors that were part of the “toys-come-to-life” Infinity video game.

As for Buzz Lightbeeryear, he sports the fore-mentioned Toybox specs along with extendable wings from his jetpack (sorry there’s no button to click here, if you want to deploy the wings, you have to open them manually).  The QC on the Buzz I got was a little questionable with some of the paint work being a little, well…shoddy.

So…what does that mean overall for Buzz?  Is he still worth getting?  Should you have run out and bought him weeks ago?  The only way to know for sure is to watch #saturdaynightlosers
