With the theatrical debut of Marvel Studios’ “Thor: Ragnarok” quickly approaching, LEGO has released a couple of sets inspired by the new film. Alongside Marvel Superheroes The Ultimate Battle for Asgard (76084) comes Thor v Hulk:  Arena Clash (76088). Consisting of nearly 500 pieces, the new set comes with 4 minifigures:  Thor (featuring “lightning eyes”), Loki, Grandmaster and a Sakaarian Guard.  It also features what might be the best part of the set: a Gladiator Hulk “big figure” (that measures over 2 inches in height).

Based on the fight scene between the two work friends, Thor v Hulk:  Arena Clash has plenty of role-playing features.  Built into the arena wall is a sliding gate, a secret weapons rack (that houses a spear, axe and sword), a “smashable” wall, 2 toppling pillars with floodlights and a prison cell.  The set also includes a super jumper to send Thor (or any other minifigure) on a one way trip to knock the Grandmaster off this throne.

The LEGO “Thor: Ragnarok” Marvel Superheroes Thor v Hulk:  Arena Clash set retails for $59.99 and is available right now at shop.lego.com.  Is the set worth it?  Just how cool is that Gladiator Hulk anyway?  The only way to really know for sure is to just watch the video.

Many thanks to our friends at LEGO for providing the sample for review.
