Finally…the Rock has come back!  Courtesy of S.H. Figuarts.

S.H. Figuarts Tamashii Nations have brought the “Attitude Era” of the WWF/WWE back with two new six inch figures.  Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Brahma Bull himself, the reason we’re all gathered here today, the Rock!

The Rock comes attired in his classic late 90s look:  black elbow and knee pads, black boots and “The Rock”/Brahma Bull trunks.  The figure comes with a total of four different head sculpts (“normal,” “sunglasses,” “intimidation,” and “shouting”), five sets of hands (in various states of openness) and a microphone (one set of those hands meant to hold said microphone).  The “normal” and “intimidation” head sculpts are spot on.  The sunglasses and shouting sculpts, while good, aren’t nearly as “Rock accurate” as the fore-mention portraits.

The People’s Champion has far too many points of articulation to mention here, as per usual for S.H. Figuarts and totally mandatory for a wrestling figure.  But, there’s a drawback to all that articulation, especially one that is essentially mostly bare-skin:  there’s no hiding any of those joints. No clothes to “hide” or incorporate into; just exposed joints for the world to see.

Related: Tamashii Nations and S.H. Figuarts have got some realistic Joker and Harley Quinn figures coming our way.

However, if you can wrap your mind around all those “exposed” joints, the Rock is still a fairly cool figure.  He can be posed in all sorts of classic Rock poses.  The only thing sorely missing from the figure is a championship belt for the Brahma Bull to swing over his head.

The S.H. Figuarts Tamashii Nations the Rock figure retails for approximately $39.99.  He’s available for order now at your favorite online retailer, or at
