For the Newsbox’s coverage of Toy Fair 2017, it’s time to start turning our attention to the heavy hitters.  And what better place to start than with Hasbro.  Hasbro’s presentation was once again held at the New York Times Building in NYC.  This time around though, ya boy wasn’t invited to the ball.  Nonono.  Don’t cry for me, Argentina.  This isn’t the first, nor the last time, I was snubbed from the big dance.

Thanks to our good friends over at MUReview, though, we’ve still got the pics.  Make sure you head over there to see the full coverage of the Hasbro event.  They is good people.

Onward, and upward, as they say.

The Spider-Man Legends Line continues with the likes of Beetle, Cosmic Spider-Man (aka Captain Universe), Tombstone, Moon Knight and from”Spider-Man: Homecoming” Spider-Man (with flight wings and alternate head), prototype costume Spider-Man and the BAF of the line, Vulture.

Speaking of “Spider-Man:  Homecoming,” we’ve got a Vulture/Spider-Man two-pack coming this year, along with a Spider-Man/Iron Man, one as well.  There’s also a comic-inspired Spider-Man/Shocker two-pack to be on the look out for.

The Marvel Legends X-Men line (that’s hitting retail right now) was also on display at the booth.  We’ve got some really good looks at Jim Lee’s Cyclops, Wolverine (as Old Man Logan), Polaris, Colossus (dig that bearded alternate portrait), Sunfire, Dazzler and the BAF Warlock, if you haven’t already been able to get your hands on them, that is.

With “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2” hitting theaters this May, Hasbro’s got you covered with two waves of figures.  With the first wave hitting stores as these words hit your peepers, the second wave was on display and features:  Quill in scarf and long coat, a pretty bitchin Adam Warlock, Mantis, Death’s Head II, Gamora, Nebula, Rocket (with alternate head and baby Groot) and the figure of the line Ex Nihilo.

But wait!  There’s more.  And that more comes in the form of not one, but 2 two-packs from “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”:  A Star Lord/Ego two-pack and a Masked Star-Lord/Yondu two-pack.

Switching gears to the smaller end of the action figure spectrum, the 3.75 inch Marvel Universe line continues with some heavy hitters like X-23 as Wolverine, Riri Williams as Ironheart, Earth 833’s Captain Britain Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099 (in his cool new duds), Moon Knight, Lady Deadpool (with her trusty sidekick, Squirrelpool), (long haired) Magneto, Jessica Jones as Jewel, that dastardly evil, double agent Captain America and if my eyes aren’t deceiving me, it looks like an armored Maestro.

The 12 inch Legends line continues with Thor and Hulk.  Thor comes with two portraits, an extra set of hands and no Thor figure would be complete without Mjolnir.  Hulk (all 14 inches of him) comes with an alternate screaming portrait and an extra set of hands.

There’s all sort of role-playing coming from Hasbro for 2017, for adults and kids, alike.  For the adults, a Marvel Legends Star-Lord mask and Mjolnir.  For the “kids” in your life, there’s everything from Iron Man hands, to an Ant-Man mask and firing gun.

Everything else:
