In conjunction with it’s presentation at Toy Fair 2017, Hasbro released official images of some of it’s Star Wars offerings for 2017.  Most notably, and perhaps most excitedly, are the 40th Anniversary Black Series figures that re-create Kenner’s original 12 action figures from the original release of “Star Wars.”

On new cards inspired by the original Kenner cardbacks, the 12 figures (set to be released in two waves) includes:  Luke, Han, Leia, R2 and Ben Kenobi (in the first wave).  Followed by:  Jawa, Death Squad Commander, Chewie, Tusken Raider, Stormtrooper and C-3PO.

I know.  I know.  I know what you’re thinking.  You’re thinking:  my friendly neighborhood jman…that only comes to 11.  Eleven figures total.  Where’s the 12th?

Yes.  You are correct.  That only comes to 11.  Which leaves us with (drumroll, please) Vader.  Darth Vader comes with a special stand (for the completeist in you) to display all twelve of the figures.

But…wait!  There’s more.  And that more comes in the form of a Star Wars Black Series Luke Skywalker (X-Wing Pilot) Celebration exclusive and an Entertainment Earth R5-D4 40th anniversary exclusive, as well.

As if all of that wasn’t enough, there’s this Star Wars Black Series Centerpiece Darth Vader.  Not much in the way of details about this piece, but it sure looks fairly bad ass.

Oh.  And there’s also a Star Wars Black Series AT-ACT Driver coming exclusively to Target.
