Is there anything more synonymous with LEGO than Star Wars?  I mean besides the words “brick” and “minifigure.”  LEGO’s held the license for Star Wars now for over 18 years, and the line is still going strong.  There’s a ton of new sets for 2017.  None of which include “Star Wars:  The Last Jedi.”  No.  We won’t be seeing head nor hide of those sets until Force Friday, September 1st 2017.  Until then, we’ll just have to make due with:

Buildable Figures

New Buildable figures from across the Star Wars Universe are hitting store shelves soon.  Figures like Scarif Stormtrooper, Chirrut îmew, Baze Malbus from “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”; Stormtrooper Commander, and the wicked awesome Scout Trooper with Speeder Bike from the OT.

Vehicles/Playsets

Plenty of vehicles and playsets due for 2017.  In no apparent order there’s Yoda’s Jedi Starfighter (who knew Yoda had a Starfighter?!?!); Duel on Naboo from “The Phantom Menace;” from “the Force Awakens” there’s the Jakku Quadjumper (with Rey, Finn, bb-8 and First Order Stormtrooper) and Rathtar Escape (with a mean looking Rathtar and an old Han Solo); the fierce looking Tracker 1 (with a probe droid and Emperor Palpatine); from “Star Wars:  Rebels” comes The Tracker (with the first appearance of Grand Admiral Thrawn!); and “LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures” comes the Arrowhead.

But, that isn’t all for the 2017 Star Wars sets.  There’s the rather clever in design Battle on Scarif (that comes with Jyn Erso and two Scarif Stormtroopers) from “Rogue One;” coming in at nearly 700 pieces is the Y-Wing Starfighter; a Republic Fighter Tank (with brand new Aayla Secura figure) and the set ya boy’s looking most forward to…Darth Vader Transformation (with Emperor, Vader and crispy Anakin figures).

For the army builders out there in Internetsland are the Rebel Trooper Battle Pack, Imperial Trooper Battle Pack and First Order Transport Speeder Battle Pack.

Microfighters

And finally, there’s the über popular Microfighters.  The line expands with series four (that’s probably in your local brick and mortar right now).  The new wave includes U-Wing, Tie Striker, Y-Wing and Krennic’s Imperial Shuttle.
