Sideshow Collectibles recently unveiled a new addition to its line of Premium Format Figures, Kate Kane…Batwoman!

Re-introduced into the DC Universe during Batman’s absence in DC Comics 2005 Miniseries Infinite Crisis, Batwoman made her DC Comics’ debut in Detective Comics #233 back in 1956.  Originally a wealthy Gothamite and former circus performer, Kate Kane’s origin would be rebooted post Infinite Crisis.  Now the daughter of Colonel Jake Kane, Kate would eventually be ejected from West Point for refusing to disavow an affair with another female cadet.  With the assistance of her father, and years of additional training, Kane would eventually go on to don the cape and cowl of Batwoman.

Sideshow Collectibles new statue is based on the character’s reintroduction in the pages of 52 #7.  Standing 22 inches in height and 11 inches wide at the base, Batwoman comes posed in her red and black military grade costume.  Equipped with  utility belt, gauntlets and reinforced armor, the statue sports a “poseable” black cape with red lining.  There’s even a Sideshow Collectibles exclusive version of the statue that includes a pair of hands holding pistols.
