“Hulk like raging fire…”
Sideshow Collectibles revealed the latest member to its “Avengers Assemble” line of statues. Joining the ranks of Thor and Captain America is the green goliath himself (no…not the Green Giant) the Hulk!
Created by comic giants Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the Hulk made his Marvel Comics debut in May of 1962. After being accidentally exposed to gamma rays being tossed off an exploding experimental bomb, Doctor Bruce Banner is forever cursed to transform into a green rage monster.
Since his debut in The Incredible Hulk #1, the green goliath has been associated with any number of teams including the Defenders, the Fantastic Four and most notably, the Avengers.
Sideshow’s new statue, sculpted in part by Igor Catto, stands 24 inches in height and 15.5 inches wide at the base. Posed raging in his trademark torn purple pants, Hulk is inspired by his classic appearance complete with oversized brow and shaggy hair.
There’s even a Sideshow Collectibles exclusive edition of the statue that comes with an alternate open mouth portrait of the Avenger.
The Sideshow Collectibles Avengers Assemble Hulk statue retails for $595 and is expected to ship 2nd quarter 2018. You can pre-order him right now from Sideshow Collectibles.
