Hot Toys is bringing the Galactic Empire’s elite Imperial gunners to it’s line of Star Wars sixth scale figures.
The Death Star Gunner, also known as the Imperial gunner, manned and maintained the superlaser on the Death Star from “Star Wars: A New Hope” and Death Star II from “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.” Little known fact: It took a total of 168 Death Star Gunners to man the superlaser’s eight firing station. There’s a bar get you’re sure to win.
Hot Toys new sixth scale figure recreates the Death Star Gunner. Based on their appearance in “Star Wars: A New Hope,” the Death Star Gunner features movie accurate costuming with black jumpsuit, black quilted jacket, specialized boots and gloves and that infamous oversized helmet (that protected the Gunner’s vision from the bright flashes of the superlasers fire. Yet another fact to take to the bank).
The Death Star Gunner also comes with several hands (in various states of openness), blaster pistol and figure stand (with name plate).
The Hot Toys Death Star Gunner retails for $204.99 and is expect to ship first quarter 2018. You can pre-order him right now at Sideshow Collectibles website.
