With Star Wars Celebration in full swing at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando this weekend (April 13 – 17), Hasbro has released official images of upcoming Black Series figures announced during the con.  There’s some good stuff coming up in our near future, like…

Grand Admiral Thrawn

Created by writer Timothy Zahn, Thrawn first appeared in the Star Wars U in Zahn’s 1991 novel, “Heir to the Empire.”  With Disney’s recent purchase of all things Star Wars and the subsequent jettison of the Extended Universe fan favorite, Thrawn, has managed to survive the purge and make it into Star Wars Canon. And now is immortalized in plastic as part of Hasbro’s Black Series line.  A Comic-Con International:  San Diego exclusive, Thrawn comes packaged in his command center that features all sorts of goodies, including his Ysalamir.

Thrawn is set to retail for $49.99.

Jaina Solo

Another Timothy Zahn creation (along with her twin brother Jacen), Jaina Solo makes her Black Series debut thanks to fan voting in 2016.  Decked out in her Rogue Squadron gear, Mara Jade’s apprentice comes with her purple lightsaber.  Jaina Solo retails for $19.99 and is expected to ship Fall 2017.

Grand Moff Tarkin

Now…we’re talking!  Look at the pitying scowl on Governor Tarkin’s face.  You can almost hear him say “You’re far to trusting…”  Set for a fall release, Tarkin comes with that nasty, nasty interrogator droid.  He retails for $19.99.

Inferno Squadron Pilot

From the upcoming EA release “Star Wars:  Battlefront II” comes the Inferno Squadron Pilot.  If you’ve been living under a rock, you can check out the trailer for the game:

The figure retails for $19.99 and will be available at Gamestop this fall.  “Star Wars:  Battlefront II” gets released November of 2017.

Clone Commander Gree

Another exclusive, Clone Commander Gree will be available at Toys R Us.  A Clone commander during the Clone Wars, CC-1004 was part of the defense of the Wookie home world of Kashyyyk.  That is, until Supreme Chancellor Palpatine executed Order 66.  Gree turned on his allies, but before any damage could be inflicted, Yoda relieved the Clone Commander of his head.

Gree retails for $24.99 and is expected to ship to stores Summer 2017.

Luke and X-34 Landspeeder

Already revealed previous to the start of Star Wars Celebration, Hasbro has released updated info and images of the former moisture farmer and his sweet, sweet ride.  A San Diego Comic Con exclusive, the 6-inch scale set is expected to retail for $89.99.
