So…as everyone is probably well aware of by now, the latest Suicide Squad trailer has hit the internets. Debuting on the MTV Movie awards, the trailer was shortly thereafter released into the wild. For your reference, and viewing pleasure, here’s the trailer:
Let me just start off by saying, much like the second trailer, this third one has me wicked excited about this movie. More so than at any point during the build-up of Batman v Superman. Way more than that. Too many good parts in this trailer. Most of them involving Harley Quinn (“I’m known to be quite vexing”. Yes, indeed. Margot Robbie looks to be the perfect mix of sane and crazy). But, hey…I’m even into Will Smith’s Deadshot all the sudden. Even more vexing (see what I did there?!?!?) is the fact that Jared Leto, my personal nemesis, may pull off a damn fine Joker. I’m not saying it, I’m just sayin.
And the use of “Ballroom Blitz”? Just like “Bohemian Rhapsody”, a great use of a great song. Call this a Guardians of the Galaxy rip-off, call it what you will. I’ll be in the corner with my fingers crossed, praying to the deity of my choice that Warner Brothers/DC has a hit on their hands.
In the meantime, for your viewing pleasure, here are a few screengrabs I didn’t end up using for the feature image for this article. Why waste some perfectly good images?
