“We are Venom!”
Kotobukiya unveiled a new addition to its line of Marvel Now! ArtFX+ statues, Venom!
When Spider-Man’s black symbiote costume bonded with disgraced journalist, Eddie Brock, they became Venom. While his history is a bit convoluted, the whole thing began back in 1982, when regular dude, Randy Schueller, came up with the idea for a new black costume for Spidey. Jim Shooter, then Marvel’s Editor-In-Chief, bought the idea from Schueller for $220. The rest, as they say, is history.
Kotobukiya’s new statue is based on Venom’s classic look. Sculpted in the ArtFX+ 1/10th scale and posed in an aggressive crouch, Venom is ready to cause Spidey some serious problems. With that tongue lashing out and multiple tendrils pulling off the costume, Venom is not messing around.
The Kotobukiya Marvel Now! Venom statue retails for $69.99 and is expected to ship October 2017. You can pre-order him right now at Koto’s website.
