‘The Boys’ Beats Marvel To Be Crowned Best Superhero Show of 2022
The ratings for all the superhero shows that were broadcast in 2022 have been announced and I’ve got to say, the results are pretty surprising!
So, you might remember that last year we saw a whole bunch of Marvel shows being released and everyone was so hyped about it. But, who would have thought that they would be beaten by a little-known series called “The Boys”? I mean, this show has really taken the superhero genre to a whole new level and it’s no wonder why it’s become the most popular superhero show on streaming platforms.
It just goes to show that sometimes the underdog can come out on top and captivate audiences in ways we never expected. I for one, am definitely a fan of “The Boys” and can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next! How about you? Have you watched this show yet? If not, I highly recommend you give it a shot, it’s a wild ride!

The super popular Amazon Prime Video series just got even better with its third season release last summer? According to Nielsen ratings, this show was one of the most-streamed series of last year, clocking in an impressive 10.6 billion minutes of total viewing time. Can you believe it?
But wait, it gets even better! This show was ahead of some of Disney+‘s biggest offerings, like Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Unfortunately, these shows didn’t even make it into the top 10 of Nielsen’s ratings.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, what could have possibly been the most streamed show of all time? Well, the answer is the Netflix series Stranger Things, with a whopping 52 billion minutes of total viewing time. And get this, Netflix holds all of the top 10 spots on Nielsen’s list of streaming originals. In fact, they have a majority of the overall top 10! But don’t worry, The Boys is still holding its own, sitting at number 11 on the list of original series.
So, if you’re looking for a show to binge-watch, these are definitely worth checking out!
This amazing show is based on a comic book series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, and it’s all about a group of vigilantes who stand up against superheroes who use their powers for evil.
You might be happy to hear that the show has been renewed for its fourth season! The cast and crew were over the moon about the news last summer. Show creator Erik Kripke said, “We’re just so grateful to our fans for embracing The Boys and allowing us to keep telling this story. And let’s be real, who wouldn’t want to see more of Butcher and the Boys taking on Homelander and the Seven? Plus, it’s not every day that exploding genitalia leads to even more success!”
For followers of The Boys, the upcoming spin-off Gen V is sure to be a hit. The show takes us on a journey to the college campus, where a fresh cohort of Supes will encounter the difficulties of being youthful and wielding immense power. As they work to reach the summit and secure top contracts in the most sought-after cities, they’ll face a host of hurdles, both physical and emotional.
